Media Supervisor - Digital Branding Investment

The Supervisor, Digital Branding Investment, is responsible for negotiating all aspects of GM's digital enrichment campaigns. Enrichment includes news, finance, health, fitness, weather, DIY, and more. This person will be the main knowledge source of the digital enrichment landscape and responsible for sharing that knowledge with digital planning teams and offline enrichment investment teams. Extensive knowledge of the digital landscape and marketplace, GM's online competition, and vendor partners are essential elements of this position. This person works closely with all digital strategy teams to identify appropriate partners and evaluate proposals. Another task for this position is collaboration with traditional (broadcast, print, out-of-home, etc) strategy and investment teams to create cross-platform programs with key vendors. Candidates must be able to manage multiple tasks, create innovative solutions, work well in a team, and build positive internal and external relationships. Responsibilities: Buying Negotiate all aspects of interactive campaigns with vendors (including display advertising, broadband, and VOD) Aggregate average industry and GM CPMs across digital enrichment investment to establish benchmarks Upload buys to third-party ad-server/billing system Work with planning and analytics teams to craft research for all campaigns Work closely with traditional buying/planning teams to craft and evaluate programs Stay abreast of current vendors, technology, and competition to guide campaigns Travel to Detroit, NY, and events/conferences Communication/Relationship Building Monitor and refine process b/w Detroit, New York, and Chicago to insure workflow is efficient Create positive, efficient relationships with all vendors to insure GM retains priority status Keep vendors and planning teams informed of all steps in negotiation process Maintenance Troubleshoot issues on all pre-production and live campaigns Assist billing coordinators in resolving discrepancies in a timely manner Leadership/Management Create positive working environment for direct reports Use knowledge of marketplace to establish GM as leader in this area, both internally and externallyMinimum Qualifications: Education: Four-year college degree OR some combination of completed relevant coursework toward Bachelors degree and/or related work experience totaling at least 4 years is required Minimum of 18 months of interactive buying experience Excellent organizational skills and very detail-oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong math and analytical skills Adapts to a fast paced and constantly changing environment Must be pro-active Excellent problem-resolution skills Ability and desire to create positive working relationships Understands and meets deadlines Ability to multi-task and adapt to change Advanced Office skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
