We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Member and Customer Contact Center in Piscataway, NJ who has strong written and verbal skills in at least one of the following languages: Hindi, Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese), French, German or Japanese.
The primary role of the Associate is to provide member and customer satisfaction in our fast paced, high volume contact center environment. The ideal candidate will service professionals with a strong desire to service our members and customers by projecting a positive, professional image of self and the IEEE. The role of the associates is to receive, research and respond to member and customer inquiries received by e-mail, telephone, postal mail regarding IEEE membership, products, services, benefits and status of individual membership.
In addition, the technical associate must be a technologically savvy individual who seeks solutions by providing technical assistance for online services & products, through troubleshooting techniques, problem escalation, follow-up and documentation. The ideal candidate will be a mature individual with professional demeanor and business etiquette, fostered by a strong desire to be a helpful and positive IEEE touch-point for our clients.
Strong written and oral communication skills are essential. The qualified candidates must be fluent in business English, able to communicate easily and effectively with those for whom English is a second language, interact productively with members of multi-cultural backgrounds and possess knowledge of cultural diversity in a business environment. The candidate’s interpersonal skills must be effective across all mediums – telephone, fax, and e-mail.
A minimum of two years of relevant customer satisfaction experience demonstrating a strong work ethic, process analysis skills, and problem resolution skills is required. Past experience must demonstrate that you possess the personal integrity and character to work in an environment in which you will have access to client sensitive data.
The work hours will be flexible evening, nights and weekend, during the hours of 5:00 PM - 8:00 AM Monday through Friday, 24 hours Saturday & Sunday, and US Holidays. The candidate must be a dedicated worker for whom prompt and regular attendance is expected/required and lives within a commutable distance from the IEEE Operations Center, Piscataway, NJ.
