Merchandise Manager - DTC

Responsible for devising the DTC buying plan, whereby product is purchased from the White House Black Market brand merchandise development teams. This includes buying the right product and right amounts of product for the DTC channel for a given brand. The position oversees the best presentation on site/in catalog as well as optimal pricing and promotion for this channel (within the framework of the overarching White House Black Market brand price/promo strategy). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Qualified candidates must possess the ability to be responsible for: Open to buy budgets for DTC for a single retail brand. Developing collaborative relationships with the key product group buyers for each category within a single retail brand. DTC merchandising strategy and opportunities for web specific product offers/sizes, promotions, etc. for a specific brand. DTC Marketing approaches and DTC specific marketing campaigns including email, web promotions, etc. Developing line level buys and managing the PO placement process with the core merchandise development teams within the Chico 's brand. Preparing for Monthly Business Reviews, Hindsight Reviews, Forward Looking Sales Plans and Annual Planning processes. Being a leader of the store for a given brand (e.g. chicos.com, whitehouseblackmarket.com or soma.com) and managing the buying process from end to end. Owning the review of frontline price changes, markdowns and promotions to ensure that they are translated to the website for maximum impact. Making the business case and persuasively presenting the findings for any price differentials that are required to optimize the Direct business. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to focus on Ecommerce/DTC sales while partnering and collaborating with the buyers within the main development and frontline store merchant teams. Strong analytic skills regarding merchandising and buying. 3-6 years of e-commerce merchandising experience. Knowledge of website information, visits, conversion, clicks. Ability to understand how she is shopping the store and how to improve it. Ability to understand product trends and have a strong left brain ability to creatively translate them into the online store.
