Merchandising Analyst

Job Summary:
Negotiate gross profit opportunities and sales programs with the vendor community.

Job Responsibilities: Negotiate gross profit buying opportunities with vendor (buys/slotting/DPS/etc) while maximizing bill out inventory profit (last buys before increases/bracket buys/alternate sourcing). Negotiate and execute promotional merchandising programs with vendor (ads/foodshow/block buys). Setup and Maintain item and vendor data integrity (pricing/item accuracy/item changes/item assortment/category marketing info/lost margin resolution). Assist vendors and buyers with dead and excess inventory resolution. Interface with outside C&S departments as well as retail customers for resolutions, IMS-Vendor relations and Prompt- AVS resolutions. Study and anticipation of commodity changes to maximize revenues. Division representative for specific weekly company conf calls. Foodshow coordinator. Merchandising key account contact / other retail contact. Vendor trade relations coordinator. Candy program planning / trainer for C&S personnel / informal lead for flyer-merchandising programs.

Job Requirements: Bachelors Degree. 2 years relevant experience. Industry experience - wholesale or retail. Basic computer skills.
