In our organization’s quest to provide our customers with highly evolved products/applications, a significant opportunity has become available for a Metrology Product Applications Manager.

 

This position would be responsible to direct the product management and engineering activity for Measuring and Nexiv Product Lines.  Manage the Measuring Technology as it relates to the department goals and the measuring products.  Keep factory, product and sales channels informed regarding technology issues that pertain to the products, technology or product applications.  Provide adequate policies and procedures to assure proper controls of the laboratory, performance of the product, hardware/software documentation and data produced by the products. Develop and institute appropriate training programs for the measuring products. Develop and conduct work programs in accordance with company policies, priorities and budget constraints.  Manage within budgets for assigned function including operating requirements and equipment.  Provide technical oversight and assistance to other departments as required. Provide Application Engineering assistance and/or product related information to the sales channels when necessary.

 

  The ideal candidate must have advanced applied knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point and of computer/electronic networking software, hardware, upgrades and maintenance along with statistical process control (SPC).  Knowledge of laser illumination, lenses, digital and analogy image capturing devices, lighting filters, precision motion control, precision stages and metrology related fixtures is essential for this position along with knowledge of virus detection software, interfacing of A/D data logging equipment, metrology software and hardware and image processing and analysis software and techniques. This position requires travel domestically and Internationally as required so candidate must have the ability to travel up to 70% of the time, including over night stays (up to 80% of travel time).  Also,. Candidate must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.

 

A BS in Engineering, Technology, Math or Physics is required while a Masters degree is preferred.

Candidate should possess 10+ years experience with metrology, CMM and / or non contact 3D measuring machines along with 10+ years experience with Industry sales of capital or scientific equipment or technical  support of that equipment.
