NA Mgr Materials Demand Planning

Veyance is looking for to fill an attractive job opportunity for NA Manager Material Demand Planning located in Fairlawn Ohio.

 

 

Primary Purpose of the Position:Develop and manage the North America Inventory plan for raw, WIP, and finished goods inventories across 18 plants and all third-party sources of materials.Balance capacity & demand to optimize service and production costs.  Maintain control of the backlog, service and inventory results for each plant/process group.  Participate in plant labor decisions and procurement levels.Identify and pursue inventory reduction & Service improvement initiatives with manufacturing & commercial teams.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities include:Develop the monthly AOP for inventories in NA and manage plants to these commitments.Define service initiatives needed to achieve 98% fill rates and 95% OTIF for MTO parts, within the constraints of the inventory plan.Monitor weekly service rates, backlogs and inventories across the Stock-MTO-SCS parts and pursue corrective actions as necessary.  Direct plant scheduling on prioritization of all orders in production queues and manage priorities for capacity across all commercial markets when demand exceeds capacity.Manage the S&OP process for NA using the Logility Forecasts of Demand vs. the plant-maintained capacity data.  Address crewing decisions in a timely manner with manufacturing.  Work with commercial teams on key forecasts and process improvements.Direct the activities of our 3rd party manufacturers to balance service, inventories and cost.  Establish and enforce policies for inventories and procurement. Ensure integrity in our systems and processes to support this part of the EPD business.

 

Job Requirements: Degree in Supply Chain, Distribution Management, Operations Management, or Finance.  At least 10 years experience in various Supply Chain management roles, with at least 5 years of full responsibility for Materials Management in a complex job-shop, multi plant environment.  Must have direct experience in S&OP, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, and Plant Scheduling.  Preferable experience in Distribution and Freight management as well.  Strong ERP skills, preferably SAP.   Working knowledge of WMS/TMS logic and interaction with an ERP.  Familiarity with Forecasting systems and S&OP processes.  APICS certification preferred.  Exceptional analytica skills key, and ability to relate to diverse commercial/plant management effectively critical.
