National Advertising Manager

PIQ Magazine is seeking a solo National Advertising Manager to initiate, sell, close and manage all advertising sales for a new monthly magazine for fans of anime, gaming and entertainment. As the Sales talent for a small, growing publisher, this is a high profile, great opportunity for the right candidate.

 

Job Responsibilities:Grow and maintain existing advertising clients across the portfolio.Generate leads and prospect new accounts by conducting a high volume of prospecting calls.Administrate the ad space close and materials deadlines for all media properties.Proactively communicate sales information to the editorial teams, and to management.Update and create marketing collateral pieces such as audience studies, media kits, and presentation materials (graphic designers on staff will help). Forecasting and sales cycle management. Maintain good communication over email and the phone with clients.Travel 10-20%, as needed, to present to the national client base.

 

Job Qualifications:Media sales experience; especially print and web backgrounds preferred.Existing list of contacts, or confidence in ability to quickly generate leads and sales.B.A. or undergraduate degree from a 4 year college.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including letter writing and professional email communication.Ability to develop out of the box marketing solutions for clients.Desire to win over clients and handle objections.Attention to detail, and deadline oriented work-style.Familiarity with the RFP process.Self-starter and ‘can-do’ attitude.Ability to work solo
