Discover why Serco is one of the world's leading service companies.DescriptionWorks as a consulting team member and software engineer for Dept of US Navy ship programs by analyzing complex data in order to provide advice and service to clients in areas of expertise. Oversees and manages the development of training software and interactive multimedia instruction curriculum. Reviews and verifies software architecture specification and systems engineering requirements. Develops manning/personnel requirements for shipbuilding construction and assists in designing and selecting DDG 1000 training facilities and shore infrastructures. Resolves simple management problems for client. May persuade clients to revise or modify policies, procedures, and programs. Establishes work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness of assigned operations. Responsible for ensuring compliance with established client standards. Prepare and present technical data and briefings. Duties may be performed at customer's site. May have Business Development responsibilities. Requires a bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent and at least 4 - 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Knowledge of Human Systems Integration and usability testing desired.
