Job Description:Ajilon Consulting, a world leader in IT staffing and project services, is working with our Beachwood, Ohio client to identify a candidate to fulfill the position of .Net Warehousing Systems Analyst. Job Overview:- Designs, develops, tests and implements new and enhanced systems supporting the client warehousing and logistics. - Thoroughly plans and tests the operation of completed programs and systems modified prior to implementation. - Estimates cost and time requirements of projects. - Make formal presentations of finding, recommendations and specifications relating to systems. - Experienced in all phases of the project life cycle, including training. - Coordinates the work efforts of other systems development personnel. The complexity level of projects may be high at this level. Factors include use of new technology, size of development team, number of users involved, number of applications involved, level of integration. Essential Functions:1. Coordinate all phases of project life cycle:- Requirements analysis and definition- Develop external specifications or proposals- Systems Design and Engineering- Develop project plan and manage the plan - Coordinate system development process- Write and/or review and approve system test plans and test results- Manage and/or perform user acceptance testing- Provide initial user training - Conduct post implementation review 2. Strong technical skills in the language(s) used in-group. (VB6, VB .NET, C# .NET, ANSI C, PLSQL) Ability to provide technical guidance to group members.3. Strong analytical and systems design skills. Ability to lead/develop large, complex projects.4. Provide accurate cost and time estimates for projects of all sizes.5. Technical competency in regard to currently used approaches/tools. Stay aware of new approaches/tools and make proposals to incorporate them into the development process.6. Provide user support for assigned system areas.7. Coordinate approval, ordering, testing and installation of hardware, software and communications equipment. Non-Essential Functions:1. Enforce and develop department standards for design, construction, testing, implementation and documentation.2. Maintain general knowledge of client's business operations and the logistics industry.3. Other duties as assigned.Systems Analyst/Engineer Responsibilities: - Design and development of IT solutions that integrate client's Warehouse Management solutions to the customer's business requirements and external applications. - Design and development of IT solutions supporting the Warehousing, and Global Freight Management business lines, and applications. In order to provide a solution, the Systems Analyst/Engineer must be able to analyze business processes, technologies, IT systems and data, so as to develop a design solution that includes logical and physical designs and associated program specifications. Job Experience:The existing extension applications are currently written in VB6, Ansi C, and supported Web Technologies. The Systems Analyst/Engineer must be proficient with Microsoft Web development tools, Visual Basic (6.0), ASP, C++ or Java, Object Oriented programming, UML, .NET, Crystal Reports, XML, XSLT, HTML, SQL, PLSQL, and Oracle. Familiarity with MQ Series, Mercury Testing Tools, EDI, data mapping, data translation, systems integration are also beneficial to the job. The Systems Analyst/Engineer should be able to develop a project plan and manage that plan for successful completion of the project. The Systems Analyst/Engineer will also develop system test plans and execute that test plan accordingly. Systems Analyst/Engineer should also be able to provide an estimate for each phase of the development lifecycle. A significant amount of development, and support is expected in addition to the analytical aspect of the job. Applicants should also be open to some amount of travel as well. Minimum Qualifications Needed to Perform Essential Job Functions:Experience:Five years experience in a systems development environment, with hands on experience in the required technical skills. Experience in analysis, systems design and engineering, and estimating required.Education:Four-year college degree preferred in information systems, mathematics, or logistics.Knowledge:Understanding of object oriented programming techniques, database concepts and information systems. Awareness of current and evolving information technologies. Excellent understanding of system areas supported.Demonstrated proficiency in Oracle and SQL Server database deign and development. Knowledge of logistics along with process and systems integration. General understanding of Warehousing and warehousing concepts.Familiarity with RFID concepts.Skills:Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written format. Solid programming and system design skills.
