New Hire Specialist

 

In our

 

West Palm Beach, FL Office

 

Position Summary:                             A New Hire Specialist processes new hires, rehires and transfers paperwork/input of Oasis employees in a timely accurate manner adhering to the wage and hour laws.  This position requires follow up, attention to detail and audits his/her own work as well as the work of others.  The Oasis Missions and Values are to be incorporated when processing internal and external customer service.            

 

Duties & Responsibilities:       •           Uniformly process new hire, rehire and transfer paperwork/input of Oasis employees adhering to department standards

•            Good Customer Service – contact clients with issues pertaining to the new hire packets and explain the issue and provide a solution

•            Attention to detail and organizational skills – must keep accurate and up to date records on all items returned to the client for employee’s signatures.

•            Data Entry Skills – ability to enter all new hires, rehires and transfer input of Oasis employees timely and accurately to ensure the employee receives an accurate pay check.

•            Understanding Immigration Laws pertaining to I-9 forms

•            Responsible to audit own input and co-workers input

•            Understanding of Work Comp Codes to ensure the employee and client are set up correctly.

•            Understanding of EEO Job Categories

•            Understanding of Exempt and Non-Exempt qualifications

•            Understanding of taxation Federal, State and Local

•            Calculation and understanding of employee period wages for different payroll frequencies, weekly, biweekly, semimonthly, monthly.

•            Work closely with each department to ensure accurate input.

•            Ability to handle multiple daily deadlines to ensure employees are paid timely

•            Return all calls in the same business day in a polite, cheerful manner.  When out of the office, voicemail must be changed as well as using your 'Out of Office Assistant' with your e-mail.

•            Resets password for employees logging onto the Oasis Website

•            Submit W-2 request to Quality Control Supervisor.

   •            Other duties as assigned

 

Experience and Education:              One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
