Qualifications -Must be able to determine appropriate O.T. patients and determine appropriate intervention and approximate time and care plan. -Must be able to accurately complete billing and timesheets. -BS degree in Physical Therapy and graduation from an accredited physical therapy program. -Experience in geriatric care is preferred. Must be able to document clearly to meet reimbursement requirements. Maintains certification requirements as a Registered Occupational Therapist. Maintains current CPR certification. Maintains current O.T. license in state. Responsibilities 1. Provide the delivery of Occupational Therapy in accordance with State and Federal licensure laws and guidelines that apply to Corporate, Outpatient Rehab Medicine Agency, Home Health, and Rehab Medicine and is active member of resident care team. 2. Ensures the resident care policies and procedures are followed, in compliance with applicable quality of standards. 3. Adheres to the AOTA code of ethics for Occupational Therapists. 4. Ensures occupational therapy staff awareness and compliance with Federal and State regulations relative to resident rights issues. 5. Prepares and maintains accurately and timely patient documentation. 6. Identifies resident care problem and concerns, contributes to short term and long term goal stetting and approaches on the interdisciplinary care plan. 7. Ensures that the patients plan of care is communicated to each occupational therapy patient/patient family and at Rehab. Rounds to appropriate facility staff. 8. Provides input into performance appraisals for occupational therapy assistants and Rehab technicians.
