Job Description:Oracle Developer - Long Term ContractAjilon is searching for a Senior Oracle Developer to be part of a team of Oracle Developers to primarily support regional banking with reporting, and data analysis, on areas such as compliance, teller scheduling, store performance, recruiting etc. Oracle developer with experience in Production support, Requirements gathering and with User interface skills. There is an attached job description - Kim informed me that all the skills listed are prerequisites. This is a 6 month C-T-H position. After 6 months, they would like to offer the appropriate candidate a salary of $105 to $110K. Kim is just initiating her search.Job Description:. Proficient in design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and control of the application's physical, relational, and object-oriented databases across multiple platforms and computing environments.. Serve as a senior resource on application database management issues, and participate in the planning, design, and usage of data resources.. This position performs design, development, testing and 24/7 on-call production support for multiple batch processing Oracle db applications. Shall be proactive in the identification, analysis and resolution of application issues. . Skills required include Oracle 8, 9i and 10g. Must have experience in migrating applications to newer oracle versions.. Must be able to demonstrate sound SDLC practices and processes in the design, development, testing and implementation in the use of Perl 5, shell scripts, SQL loader and PL/SQL. Successful individual will have a strong work and team ethic, excellent communication skills and able to complete tasks as assigned including all efforts and communication required to complete all tasks. . Team works in multiple geographic locations including offshore team members. Ability to be proactive in communication, process hand offs and to follow application standards is a requirement. This includes regular contact with non technical business partners. . Maintains and enhances the technical interfaces and relationships with 50+ upstream and downstream system interfaces. This includes System Interface Agreements, dependant testing and change management issues. . Works on problems involving the evaluation of specifications for complex business requirements and processes (new, enhancements, maintenance), and develops, prepares, tests & implements solutions. Performs and leads modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts. . Shall be responsible for applications ongoing compliance with BCP plans and E&M tasks. . Shall be responsible to analyze and proactively identify risks and support the applications Enterprise Capacity Management activities. . Shall be responsible to fully understand, comply and mitigate the applications Security Plan. . Verifies program logic by preparing test data for trial runs, tests and debugs programs. Participates in the overall systems testing and user acceptance testing.. Prepares SIT, UAT, Production deployment and backout plans. Participates in the production install process and validates the installs.. Participates in the development of data architectures, data dictionaries and database management policies and standards. Minimum Qualifications BS Degree or equivalent experience plus 8 years applicable experience. Oracle Certified Professionals will be given preference. Preferred Skills Oracle DB Application development, UNIX shell scripting, SQL Loader, PL/SQL, Perl, Database modeling, design, tuning.
