Outside Sales Representative - Virginia

DVM Resources, one of the largest suppliers of animal health products to the Animal Health Industry, is looking for a dynamic sales individual to fill the position of Outside Sales Representative.  The territory will cover the Virginia Beach/Tidewater, Virginia area calling on Companion Animal Veterinarians.  The position will be based in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Job Summary:

The qualified individual will work independently and will provide marketing services and technical assistance to Company customers, develop qualified new customers and markets, and represent the Company in a professional and responsive manner.

Responsibilities (not all inclusive):The ability to learn a wide variety of Animal Health products including: pharmaceuticals, biological, instrumentation, and communicate technical information to veterinarians, technicians, and business managersProfessionally promote a broad range of animal health products to veterinarians and veterinary professionals with the goal to achieving sales growth in their respective territoriesDevelop and manage the business relationships with targeted veterinarians and customersProfessional maintain and increase sales within the designated territory by favorably influencing the prescribing habits of targeted audienceDevelop and deliver informative sales presentations based on individual customer needs to maximize market shareDevelop and execute territory business plans, accurately complete routine reports and be compliant with regulatory and company guidelines.

Education/Experience:

Licensed Vet Tech or Bachelor's Degree, preferably with a business or science background.  Must have worked in an animal clinic minimum two years or product knowledge equivalent.  Demonstrated influencing and selling skills are essential.  One or more years successful business-to-business sales in the animal health industry experience preferred.  Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.  Must have great interpersonal skills.  Previous animal health sales experience is highly desired.  Must have valid drivers license with good driving record.
