PPM Production Analyst
Arbitron Inc. is a media and marketing research firm serving radio broadcasters, cable companies, advertisers, advertising agencies and outdoor advertising companies. Arbitron’s core businesses are measuring network and local market radio audiences across the United States; surveying the retail, media and product patterns of local market consumers; and providing application software used for analyzing media audience and marketing information data. The Company has developed the Portable People Meter, a new technology for media and marketing research.
Through its Scarborough Research joint venture with The Nielsen Company, Arbitron also provides media and marketing research services to the broadcast television, newspaper and online industries.
We are looking for a PPM Production Analyst to join our Report Processing department in Columbia, MD.
Position Summary:
The team member will be responsible for and tasked with the production and validation of market data against anomalies and inaccuracies. This will be completed with a combination of existing reports, and ad hoc queries as needed. The team member will be expected to be familiar with the markets assigned and anticipate issues in production data.
Responsibilities:End-to-end production of PPM media ratings data. Pre-delivery data validation of PPM media estimates Participation in project teams to expand and enhance PPM product line offering Participation in user acceptance test planning and execution Documenting procedures and data flows Evaluating and improving data quality standards
Requirements:College degree preferred 5+ years experience in a data production or related environment 2+ years experience leading quality and documentation initiatives Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to coordinate and track multiple processes that are in various stages of production. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite at an advanced level. Experience in MS Access required. Experience querying data from relational databases required. Oracle user experience preferred, The ability to evaluate and manipulate data from multiple sources using appropriate tools and quickly adapt to emerging technology. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet tight delivery deadlines. Ability to identify and solve complex problems within their process autonomously and understand context and impact of business decisions. Ability to create, evaluate, and improve a process
