Job Description:PRINCIPAL APPLICATION ENGINEERREPORTS TO MANAGER, SYSTEM QUALITY ASSURANCEThe Application Engineer position will work at the system level to help increase the applicability of Wonderware software to match the emerging needs of the industrial market through the design and construction of fit for purpose applications. The candidate will work closely with the individual project architects to provide end-user focus and help validate the path forward for product features.Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Your focus will be on building medium to large scale, real-world applications to help define Wonderware application “Best Practices”, highlighting areas where further development may be required. You will be responsible for presenting the findings to the Architect group and assisting in the definition of possible infrastructure changes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing techniques for delivering large industrial solutions based on the new Wonderware System Platform.Required skills & experience: (a.)Extensive knowledge of Wonderware FactorySuite–5 years minimum(b.)Successfully integrated a number of real world control systems-2 years minimum(c.)Worked in a software development company-2 years minimum(d)MES and MIS experience(e) Proficient skills to build analysis reports against multiple databasesKey Relationships: You will be the Development’s “Early Adopter” of new software features and products at the earliest stage possible.
