PROFESSIONAL LIAISON

The Professional Liaison is responsible for educating the healthcare community within a defined territory regarding the services provided at the Wound Management Program (WMP)™. The success of this position is predicated upon the ability to promote an interdisciplinary wound care delivery model to physicians, insurance case managers, nurses, and other health care providers within the assigned territory, and to positively impact the development of the programs. This position works collaboratively with the Program Director of the WMP to best determine key target referral sources, and then develop a systematic approach to build customer/referral relationships. The Professional Liaison will demonstrate strong communication and educational skills combined with an organized and targeted approach as well as strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and the ability to function efficiently and effectively in a matrix management structure.PROGRAM DEVELOPMENTThe Professional Liaison will demonstrate excellent time and territory management skills in order to meet or exceed total encounter and same store growth goals for assigned program(s). • Responsible for identifying targeted physicians utilizing sources such as the database, hospital medical staff lists and insurance physician provider lists, in order to provide education and new informational updates. • Interacts with physicians and nurses by utilizing educational tools and clinical studies when appropriate. Presents patient case studies as an opportunity to discuss WMP clinical pathways and specific patient healing results. • Manages time effectively to meet assigned territory demands and goals. • Maximizes time spent in the field with healthcare professionals, maintaining records of all contacts utilizing both ACT contact management program and weekly call reports. Responsible for communicating information to the Program Director as needed for the maintenance of the database. • Responsible for working collaboratively with the Program Director to develop a quarterly Community Education and Marketing Plan to meet territory goals. • Develops and implements an action plan to address below budget goal achievement. • Works with Community Education Director and Program Directors to identify and plan for key educational opportunities. • Responsible for identifying and networking with key clinical and medical hospital personnel in support of assigned development goals.• Works to insure that all targeted physicians and healthcare professionals are aware of all services and technologies provided at the WMP and that these services and technologies are presented in a balanced and ethical manner. • Keeps adequate stock of all required Curative and partner hospital literature and educational tools in car, home office and at WMP. • Participates in appropriate public relation functions, such as health fairs, in order to present relevant information to patients and their families in the community. • Develops and orchestrates group training programs such as professional symposiums, in-services and group presentations designed to provide updates on new technologies or with a focus on educational content.INTERPERSONAL SKILLS- • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills in effectively forming professional relationships. • Responds to internal/external customers in a highly professional manner. • Possesses the ability to effectively manage and resolve conflict. • Supports company and hospital objectives and goals. • Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively with the Program Director and WMP staff. • Prepares, and assists with quality professional presentations to physicians and ancillary healthcare professionals which positively reflect the clinical outcomes and cost effectiveness of the WMP. • Using clinical notes, discharge summaries, wound volume graphs, case studies and Curative database reports, monitors patient activity to insure referring physician is fully appraised of patient care feedback and status. • Develops strong relationships with key customers. • Attends Wound Care Center (WCC)® Quality Management and staff meetings as appropriate and maintains excellent rapport with WCC physicians.COMMUNICATIONS-The Professional Liaison must possess the ability to clearly communicate business plans and territory updates to program and regional management. • Maintains regular communication with respective Program Director and Community Education Director. • Communicates applicable information to Business Development Director relative to requests for information regarding partnering with Curative to start a WMP. • Reports are concise and factual, presented on time and in a results-oriented format. • Demonstrates a solid command of both written and oral communication skills. • Presents regular updates to Region Management on territory activity. • Demonstrates the ability to present, and have understood, complex technical information to audiences of varied backgrounds• Demonstrates the ability to participate in suggestions/implementations of new strategies to meet regional goals and improve regional/company operating efficienciesPRODUCT AND JOB KNOWLEDGE-• The Professional Liaison will demonstrate an effective working knowledge of Curative Health Services Wound Management Programs and the disease states that cause or contribute to chronic wounds. • Maintains technical competence and expertise in all aspects of product information and is thoroughly conversant and knowledgeable with regard to company literature, including but not limited to clinical studies, monographs, brochures, case studies, etc. • Completes and maintains effective working knowledge of the Curative Courseware Internet-based training program. • Maintains high level of awareness of managed care market and industry changes within territory. • Stays conversant with the treatment process of patients under care of the Curative facility in order to speak effectively about those patients. • Maintains an awareness of company, market, and industry issues as they relate to meeting customer needs in a constantly changing health care environmentRequirements: QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree required.Prior sales experience, minimum 3 yearsThe Professional Liaison will demonstrate strong communication and educational skills combined with an organized and targeted approach as well as strong interpersonal and teamwood skills and the ability to function efficiently and effectively in a matrix management structure.Excellent individual and group presentation skills and interpersonal skills.Results and goal-oriented, self-motivated team player.Ability to travel within local territory required.Apply Online
