We are searching for an entrepreneurial Sales Engineer to add to our growing, dynamic team. We are looking for a candidate with a strong sales background in packaging to sell, organize and execute technical packaging projects or systems. In this role there is a strong focus on providing technical leadership to projects from inception, testing through to completion. Customer delivery is paramount. The successful candidate will strengthen market presence in their assigned territory by finding opportunities to provide some of the most comprehensive packaging products design and converting services available.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans how to establish and maintain major account relationships and meet personal sales targets within the full line of products or combination of products Develops business plan for each account Responsible for training the sales force on automation Coordinates use of other company resources (e.g. technical, advertising) to provide value added services to accounts Develops strong client relationships over time that provide significant input to planning company product, price, and service strategies Supports supervisor and other sales professionals in developing new market opportunities in the designated territory or market Solicits new business opportunities within territory. Provides analysis and information on sales forecast and budget preparation Required Skills
4+ years in sales or 4+ years in engineering/technical in the packaging or automation industry with a strong willingness to move into sales Experience with providing custom packaging solutions is a plus Bachelor's degree in Engineering: Mechanical, IE or related CAD design experience is preferredSuccessful track record of growing a territory and sales Experience providing custom products and consultative sales solutions based on providing value, not just price driven Ability and track record of developing and executing a sales plan to reach target accountsInnovative problem solver; recognizing customer needs, providing alternatives and selling and implementing alternative solutions Strong presentation skills Excellent initiative and interpersonal communications skills Ability to work independently Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Travel required: 30-50% travel to meet sales objectives Proven success in key account and relationship management required Experience guiding and directing an independent sales rep network Experience in a manufacturing environment Ability to develop new sales opportunities and address and service needs of established accounts.VALUES: We achieve our vision by creating and living a culture that embraces our core values: Customer Satisfaction, Passion for Results, Teamwork, Learning & Growing and Integrity.
