JOB SUMMARY:The Part-Time Territory Representative position generates revenue by building sales and endorsements of an assigned FDAH product in veterinarian clinics throughout a designated geographical area. Endorsement will be gained through education, product knowledge and selling skills to launch and build market share of assigned product. This position will sell the product using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs. This position is a flex time position and works general supervision by the Regional Manager, but will take direction from the assigned Territory Manager.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for managing a designated zip code based territory. Promote and merchandise FDAH’s product in assigned clinics. Aggressively replace competitive products through education, promotions, and team coordination activities. Make sales contacts, research customer needs, develop and deliver sales presentations (using Planned Emphasis Programs) and close sales in a professional manner utilizing PAR skills. Build rapport with selected accounts to drive endorsement and sales of FDAH’s product; successfully handle complaints, and maintains customers in good credit standing. Conduct in-clinic seminars as directed on focus product, either independently or in conjunction with region team members. Focus sales activities and efforts on achieving sales effectiveness call goals and sales objectives in accordance to policy guidelines, limits, and company procedures. Maintain up-to date Foundation level knowledge of both FDAH product and competitive products. Maintain up-to-date Foundation level knowledge of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets; and notifies management of conditions Maintain Foundation level knowledge of professional “marketplace” -- (veterinary practices, veterinary schools, Animal Health Technician schools, research institutions and government institutions within territory.) Refer questions related to other FDAH products to appropriate personnel. Maintain basic knowledge of FDAH product portfolio to have ability to do so.JOB REQUIREMENTS:B.S./B.A. Degree in Animal Science, Biology, or related science field is preferred. At least 1-2 years successful sales background or experience. Willing and able to ride and operate employee’s own vehicle Valid driver’s license and driving record that passes FDAH standards. Willing and able to travel overnight when business necessitates. Willing and able to work flexible and weekend hours when business necessitates.
