Parts Counter Sales
POSITION SUMMARY
Will be responsible for ordering, receiving, storing, issuing and shipping supplies, equipment and
Parts.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Daily contact with customers/clients via telephone, facsimile or personal communication, responding
to concerns, filling orders and responding to technical questions.
Ø Compiles data from sources, such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions and
accounting reports and enters information into computer to maintain inventory, purchasing, and shipping.
Ø Keeps back order files.
Ø Compiles stock control records and information, such as consumption rate, characteristics of items
in storage and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
Ø Prepares work orders, requisitions, or other documents for purchasing or requisitioning new or
additional stock items.
Ø Communicates with customers and technicians on site, over the telephone and at their location
regarding parts needs, inventories, concerns, etc.
Ø Fabricates hose requirements to customer requirements.
Ø Compares nomenclature, stock numbers, authorized substitutes, and other listed information with
catalogs, manuals, parts lists and similar references to verify accuracy of requisitions and shipping orders.
Ø May be required to transport self to customer locations via company or personal transportation.
Ø Daily to customer/client via telephone, facsimile or personal communication, answering concerns, filling orders and responding to technical questions.
Ø Other duties may be assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Ø Technical trade background with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic knowledge
Ø Prior experience with shipping and receiving
Ø Mechanical aptitude desired
Ø Ability to interact with various levels of customers
Ø Ability to work in a team environment
