Responsibilities:*Manage team of patent agents in the preparation and prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications for inventions and discoveries made by or licensed to Wyeth. *Distribute, oversee and review the work product of the agents. *Identify research that may be subject to filing of patent applications. *Develop strategies for preparing and filing patent applications. *Work with inside and outside foreign counsel to file and prosecute foreign patent applications. Requirements:*Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry. *J.D., admission to any state bar, and admission to U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. *6+ years experience with a law firm and/or corporation. *Must be able to work closely with people from diverse backgrounds and at different levels in the company. *Ability to present legal position and withstand client pressure for a contrary position that could be adverse to the company. *Willingness to travel to USPTO interviews. *Excellent written and verbal communication skills. *Ability to multi-task and work under deadlines. Preferred:*Advanced degree. *Preparation of infringement, validity, and freedom-to-operate opinions. *InHs experience.
