Payroll Team Lead

Position Description:

ADP is also a leading provider of integrated computing solutions to auto, truck, motorcycle, marine and recreational vehicle dealers throughout the world.Essential Responsibilities• Manages the entire workflow of the payroll team towards successful service delivery to one or more clients and reconciles the inputs and outputs of the payroll processing working with other partner teams.• Develop Plans for special projects, Issues Logs and ongoing requirements and manage the execution – Year/Quarter-end, Annual Enrollment etc.• Effectively applies ADP and client payroll policies and procedures. • Monitors complete accuracy of payrolls. • Ensures payroll team adherence to scheduled work tasks, policies and procedures.• Identifies and escalates non-compliance with all applicable tax regulations and wage and hour laws. • Responsible for continuous process improvement through root-cause analyses & engages other support teams as needed. • Must be able to perform functional/technical responsibilities required for Payroll Specialists under staffing shortage situations.• Must be able to influence tasks & deliverables for team members without direct reporting relationship. • Supports the screening process for new associates and conducts interviews in support of the Payroll Manager’s hiring needs.• Support the training and mentoring of Payroll Specialists’ on job requirements, product functionality and service delivery techniques.• Builds relationships of trust, respect and partnership with client contacts by providing World Class Service• Attend client conference calls and on site visits as required by management.• Handles escalated client issues and assists the payroll specialists in diffusing escalations.• Escalate major client issues to Payroll Manager• Responsible for day-to-day/operational account management of the client.• In-depth understanding of SLAs, SOW, and contractual requirements and manages the process workflow to meet those requirements• In-depth understanding of SAS70 requirements & responsible for entire end-to-end process execution compliance.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience• Associate degree in Business Administration or Accounting (or its equivalent in education and experience) is required.• 6 years of multi-corporation, multi state payroll or equivalent, of which 1-2 years in a Specialist-III, leader or supervisor level position in the areas of –Customer Service, Other ADP BU, Payroll, Human Resources, Benefits Administration, Financial Institution, Application Support or other relevant work experience.• Past performance Appraisals rated above average• In-depth knowledge of payroll processing, tax principles, wage and hour laws is required.• Internal applicants must have proven proficiency at a Payroll Specialist-III level, based on the proficiency promotional guidelines• Excellent Leadership and Mentoring Skills• Must be able to influence tasks & deliverables for team members without direct reporting relationship.• Develops and improves process & procedure. • Proven Customer Service Skills• Excellent organizational & time Mgt skills• Good verbal & written communication skills.• Excellent organizational & time management skillsADP is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer; M/F/D/V.
