Payroll Technician

eESI is in search of a Payroll Technician who will provide support for our San Antonio office.  The position requires an individual who is flexible, self motivated, learns quickly, anticipates needs, works independently and has demonstrated the ability to multi-task.

 

The successful candidate must have strong people skills, strong problem solving skills including the confidence to efficiently make independent decisions and the ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce. The ability to maintain a continuous flow of work without direct instructions is essential. Three to five (3-5) years of payroll experience are preferred.

 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

· Maintain a base of payroll clients relevant to size and complexity on all products.

· Contacts clients daily to obtain payroll data including salary adjustments, special payments, tax allocations and employee deductions.

· Accurately keys all payroll related data necessary to process and meet appointment schedules.

· Maintains a high rate of client retention through quality service.

· Keeps abreast of the payroll processing system and changes in wage and tax laws, and corresponds with federal, state and local tax agencies on behalf of our clients in problem situations.

· Maintains client files.

· Researches and resolves client/system problems.

· Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with clients, agencies and coworkers to promote a quality service image.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Bi-lingual a plus

· PEO experience, CPP designation, Microsoft Sequel (Query Analyzer) or Accountix experience a definite plus.

· 5 years office experience with a proven facility in data entry, customer service, and problem resolution. 

·Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and demonstrated ability to learn other application programs as needed.

· Must be able to work well under pressure and have a high tolerance for stress.

· Proven attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Demonstrated customer service skills
