Design, code, debug, revise and document objects or systems.. Adhere to all application standards, service level agreements, and processes (i.e. Walkthru and Approval processes, Program/System documentation, Status Reporting, Escalation, Change Management, Problem Management). Analyze business issues or opportunities and prepare detailed specifications from which objects will be written.. Perform all necessary discovery and fact finding to fully understand and execute all assignments. Test and implement the tested and approved objects in a manner which protects the integrity of all test and production environments. Communicate and integrate activities with the team, business and other IS departments to foster good relationships and ensure success. Job Experience:Hiring Requirements/Qualifications. Pega Systems PRPC required. Proficient with at least one major development language: Cobol; or Java; or RADEducation/Experience: Bachelor or technical degree in computer science or information technology and a minimum of three years experience writing applications required. In lieu of degree, five years technical experience writing applications, programming or testing experience required. Hiring PreferencesAdditional Education/Experience Preferences : . Subject matter expert in at least one business area (Developer II level and up). Exposure to test tools for at least one platform with some demonstrated ability (Developer II level and up). Experienced with at least one source management system (Developer II level and up). Experience with at least one of the major Data Base systems: IMS, DB2, Oracle, Sybase, FoxPro; others to be added (Developer II level and up)Abilities/Soft Skills:. Proficiency in handling multiple assignments at once with one or more being complex (Developer II level and up). Good analytical and communication skills required. .
