Plant Logistics Technician

The responsibilities of this technician will include, but are not limited to:• Monitor irrigation in greenhouse (completing irrigation task and making sure that irrigation is completed properly)• Monitor the greenhouse environment• Inspect and fertilize the plants when needed• General monitoring and care of plant crops• Accurate data entry into SAP database • Responsible for obtaining crop statuses from contracted seed vendors• Responsible for accurate maintenance of records of crop status, tracking, and inventory• Responsible for maintaining high operational standards; including scheduling inspections, making sure international and domestic shipments are operationally compliant • Responsible for coordination of shipments to and from the plantThe ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:• Have a flexible personality; able to work in a team oriented environment• Able to work in 80 degree environments with high humidity• Able to work with chemicals• Is a non-smoker with no heavy allergies• Must be familiar with agricultural production terminology• Must have excellent communication skills• Must be computer savvy (experience with SAP is highly desired, but not necessarily required); the ability to easily and quickly grasp new computer programs and software programs ; must be familiar with the full MS Office suite (Word, Excel, e-mail programs, web browsing)• Bilingual is helpful, but not a requirement• Candidate must be very comfortable with data entry and have a high degree of accuracyThe hours for this position are Monday through Friday 7am – 4pm, and could have the possibility of going from 6am-3pm.If you think that you have the skills and/or experience to be a great fit for this position, then you are encouraged to respond ASAPThis position is looking to be filled AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and interviews are starting immediately, so please do not hesitate to respond if you think you are qualified!Job Experience:Expected Travel Time: None About Adecco North America Adecco is a Fortune Global 500 company and the world leader in workforce solutions.
