Portfolio Manager

Job Description:Opus Investment Management, a division of The Hanover Insurance Group, is seeking an energetic, quantitative, self-motivated team player to join cohesive fixed income investment management firm as entry-level portfolio manager to work with insurance-related and other institutional clients. Position OverviewThis position is responsible for the management of assigned portfolios within the context of the current investment strategy and adhering to the specific portfolio objectives and guidelines.QualificationsFour to seven years experience in fixed income investment management desired. MBA and/or CFA preferred. Strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills required. Ideal candidate has solid understanding of portfolio management concepts and experience in a total return setting. Ability to synthesize economic data, credit analysis and security structure in development of trade ideas. Experience in money markets, municipals or MBS a plus. Must possess the highest ethical standards and be able to effectively manage time and prioritize. Solid quantitative skills a necessity; proficiency with Yield Book and other technology applications also desired. Should be a self-starter and decision-maker.
