Principal Engineer - Video-On-Demand (VOD) Integration Engineer

Responsible for integration and testing of current & next generation Video On Demand systems including Network DVR and StartOver technologies. Duties include: creation and management of the test environment, development of integration plans and test cases, define vendor selection criteria, and perform initial turn-up and validation of new systems. Coordination with Comcast partners and vendors to ensure requirements compliance as outlined by the Business Unit, Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams as well as pursue a zero defect customer experience

- Work with upstream Product,
 Architecture, and Engineering
 teams in the refinement of
 requirements and all associated
 documents required to support
 testing.
- Support peer SI&T integration
 and testing teams to develop
 release candidates.
- Work with peer SI&T teams to
 write integration plans, test
 cases and review test plans.
- Work with peer engineers to
 ensure test bed readiness in
 advance of testing efforts
- Lead / Execute detailed test
 plans within specified timelines.
- Work with 3rd party testing
 teams in support of their test
 plans.
- Support Operations during
 initial product deployments

Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

.B.S. or M.S. in Computer
 Science, Electrical Engineering
 or related field. The equivalent
 in directly related experience
 and self study may be
 substituted.
.Experience in an Integration
 Testing or a Product QA
 environment is preferred.
.Work experience in Cable or an
 Engineering related field is
 also desirable.

.IP Networking
.Advanced DSG, and server
 maintenance
