Procurement Strategy Analyst Job Description:JTMS-613331 - Procurement Strategy Analyst/Program Manager 2 E&D Sourcing (Redmond) NEW The Entertainment & Devices Division (E&D) is seeking a highly motivated, energetic Procurement Strategy Analyst who will be able to help drive cross-group collaboration for new product launch (Xbox, Zune, Surface, RoundTable and many cutting edge Microsoft Hardware products) and assist in cost reduction and process optimization. Come join the E&D Sourcing and Procurement team, one of the highest visibility teams at Microsoft, to drive best-in-class sourcing strategy and new product introduction! Objectives and Responsibilities· Help develop and drive scalable sourcing strategies and processes across hardware product families and platforms within the Entertainment & Devices Division (E&D). · Assist in the Sourcing and Procurement team’s end-to-end (E2E) product development engagement, from roadmap planning, conceptualization and development to launch.· Supports program management and sourcing engagement for new products. Help to drive cross-group interaction and communication with hardware engineering, development, manufacturing, procurement management, and supply chain planning teams to ensure that product launch timeline and cost targets are met. · Help drive year-over-year cost reductions across product families and platforms (down to component level) within E&D.· Collaborate with the Procurement Strategy Management team to drive the Sourcing organization to the next level. · Work with internal and external stake holders to continuously improvement on processes and documentation. Professional/Personal Skills:1. BS/BA degree in Business or Operations Management or equivalent coupled with 4-8 years of applicable work experience (MBA is a plus).2. Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills3. Strong cross-functional experience.4. Familiarity with CE hardware design lifecycle. 5. Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.6. Comfortable with ambiguity/self-motivated.7. Experience in high-tech manufacturing environment preferred.Expected Travel Time: None
