The successful candidate will work with the FDA, EPA and other regulatory agencies to determine registration requirements of new animal drugs on a global basis. He/she will write experimental protocols, select expert research investigators, ensure investigator adherence to protocols, conduct on-site monitoring of research, provide data analysis, interpretation of results and prepare company reports. This individual will make research presentations at company functions and at scientific conferences.Candidate should have thorough understanding of scientific concepts and principles. Areas of research will include parasitology, anti-infective, anti-inflammatory, growth promotion, anesthetics and others. Studies will include product dose determination and efficacy, target animal safety, drug pharmacokinetics, drug bioequivalence, growth performance, tissue residue, reproductive safety and clinical efficacy/safetyBasic Qualifications:-Ph.D. with 2 years experience in biological science, such as endocrinology, physiology, pharmacology, or a DVM/VMD with 2 years experience, or a MS with 2-4 years in related area.-Experience in research setting, conducting clinical trials in animals, statistical data analysis and interpretation. -Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed up to 25% of the time. Additional Qualifications:-Knowledge of GLP/GCP regulations desirable.-Proficient in use of computer software such as Excel, Word, graphing and spreadsheets is required.-Strong background in statistical data analysis and knowledge of SAS is desirable.-Excellent verbal and written skills required.-Careful attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential.
