Production Engineer

Astronautics Corporation of America, a world leader in the design and manufacture of avionic systems, has a challenging opportunity available in our Manufacturing Department for a Production Engineer.   Individual will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of new designs and implementing new processes for the mechanical assembly of products.

 

PRODUCTION ENGINEER

 



•  Analysis, design, and implementation of new mechanical assembly processes

•  Design and implementation of cellular manufacturing using lean principles

•  Work with production personnel on rejects and day to day issues

•  Assist production with continuous improvement efforts

•  Create and maintain production documentation (i.e. work instructions, routing, time standards)

 



•  5+ years relevant experience

•  Excellent verbal, written, and PC skills

•  Must have knowledge of mechanical components and assembly processes of mechanical components

•  Knowledge of CAD system - SolidWorks preferred

•  Knowledge of lean principles required

•  BS degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
