Production Planner/Senior Production Planner

Position Summary:Develop, manage and communicate MedImmune’s integrated site supply plan, including materials plan, support schedule, maintenance, and shipping schedule in support of the master production schedule. Identify and manage all materials, intermediate product and supplies including the generation of requisitions and Purchase Orders to provide an adequate inventory to support the annual manufacturing campaign. Identify and bring to senior management’s attention all constraints, bottlenecks and issues that would impinge the successful execution of the production plan. Knowledge: Superior knowledge of SAP as it relates to Planning and Procurement. Knowledge of the manufacturing process as well as support functions such as Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Maintenance and Inventory Management.Typical Education: Associates Degree or higher in Business or Quality Related fields.Typical Experience: 2-4 years experience in the operations/planning/inventory management areas preferably in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry .Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: APICS certification desired.Essential Job Functions:Develop, manage and communicate all production activities to support master productionplan.Generate all required paperwork/documentation from planning systems to supportManufacturing including creation and maintenance of bills of materials and master recipes. (SAP, spreadsheets etc.)Maintain data integrity within SAP and inventory database.Participate with teams to improve quality and efficiency.Proactively resolve conflicts in scheduling with all affected groups and communicateresults to master scheduling.Set and maintain inventory levels for all materials and intermediate products to supportsupply plan and inventory goals.Collaborate with other functional groups to identify impact of changes in supply orconstraints within the manufacturing group.
