Program Manager-Federal
AMTI is looking for a Program Manager in the Washington DC area. This individual will be responsible for the following: · Acts as the overall lead, manager and administrator for the contract effort, serving as the primary interface and point of contact with government program authorities and representatives on technical and program issues, including contractual, administrative, deliverables management, program performance metrics gathering and analysis, and financial management: · Plans and directs execution of the technical, programmatic, maintenance and administrative support efforts. · Supervises program/project operations by developing policy, procedures and standards, ensures they are being followed, that goals and objectives are met, and that services and tasks are being accomplished efficiently and effectively, takes corrective actions as necessary. · Establishes and maintains technical and financial reports in order to show progress to government program authorities (i.e., management and clients). · Monitors and reports on program progress relative to program plans, with respect to programmatic and financial baselines. · Provides for the selection, training, professional development and work evaluation of program staff, including hiring, termination, promotion and discipline as required. · Manages acquisition and employment of program/project resources. · Manages and controls financial and administrative aspects of the program with respect to contract requirements. · Develops and monitors the program budget, oversees its financial well-being by analyzing cost effectiveness and exercising cost controls, prepares, submits and justifies budget requests as required. · Maintains client contact to ensure conformity to all contractual obligations.
This individual must have the following requirements: · Bachelors Degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or Business Administration from an accredited college or university · Has overseen major multi-million dollar programs and organized large numbers of staff · PMP and/or ITL certifications preferred · At least 15 years of experience with the Federal Government · 10+ years of experience leading IT development projects · Managed 75+ people on a project AMTI considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital status, sexual preference, personal appearance, family responsibility, the presence of a non-job-related medical condition or physical disability, matriculation, political affiliation, veteran status, or any other legally protected status.
