Program Mgr 3 (Vendor Prog Mgr) Job Description:This position is for the world's largest software company, headquartered in Redmond, Washington. Description:Our team is looking for a vendor Program Manager to assist in supporting our Sustained Engineering efforts. Reporting to the lead Program Manager, this person will perform many core PM functions to include:- Release policy compliance- Status reporting and offshore team coordination- Project Scheduling- Provide project management, risk management and scheduling for SE release and test projects- Provide business priority input around SE work planning and bug triages- Work across teams and regions to resolve issues- Author small requirements documents and review requirements for other component projects or internal documents- Review test plans for compliance with project schedule, goals and risks- Prepare regular reports on SE operational metrics and present these to stakeholders- Document agreed processes for team reference and help define improved processes- Assist in processing questions and requests from internal teams related to sustained engineering- Assist in reviewing upcoming versions of servicing needs.- Sponsor articles and User documentationThis PM will assist with several aspects of our efforts, including working with vendors, Planning regression test projects, Prioritizing customer issues, and driving the internal process for triaging, fixing, and releasing updates to customers.Qualifications: 3 years experience in a Program Management or project management role, preferably in sustained engineering, through at least one full Product Cycle. Must be able to anticipate and manage resource/scheduling conflicts to get issues addressed without negatively impacting new project work. Must be able to balance multiple high priority issues and interact with different server teams with competing business goals to negotiate win-win solutions for our product customers.
