Programmer - SPSS Dimensions, mrStudio, mrScript

SUMMARY:  Responsible for providing the execution of questionnaire programming using SPSS Dimension data model and mrStudio/mrScript programming language.  Responsible to ensure time and budget parameters are met, as well as meeting company quality standards.  This person will provide technical and operational expertise on questionnaire programming and/or data processing issues and processes.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

o  Demonstrates an understanding of the market research industry: its core technology and terminology, products and services, industry trends, and policy issues.

 Develops expertise in the programming area and undertakes regular training, reading, and studying to become recognized as an industry expert.

 Demonstrates expertise in questionnaire logic, piping, randomization, and other programming issues, including an understanding of quota controls and split sampling strategies.

 Executes all projects ensuring that MMI standards for quality and execution are met.

 Proactively manages working schedule to ensure that project timetables are met, taking corrective action as required, ensuring that schedule/budget requirements are met. 

 Position is salaried full-time.  Some overtime may be required, including nights and weekends, as project timelines dictate. 

 Employee must communicate effectively with MMI internal clients, Operations Manager, and with outside clients as directed by senior staff, providing clear and concise information and reports.

 

 

Requirements:  5+ experience in the marketing research industry in a technical function.  3+ years in questionnaire programming and an advanced knowledge of SPSS Dimension data model, mrStudio and mrScript.  Effective communication skills, organizational and time management skills are required.  An understanding of how the components of the system work together and how the data is formatted during the data collection.
