For more than 38 years, PMI has advanced the careers of practitioners who have made project management indispensable in achieving business results. Seeking an experienced, professional to administer and oversee successful PMI awards programs throughout the year. Serve as a lead to respond and resolve complex service and support inquiries related to public relations initiatives, with a focus on awards programs. Support Marketing in production of ceremonies that are part of annual Congress events, as well as awards presented by PMI and PMI Components across the globe.
Deliverables are to be aligned with public relations strategy, major initiatives such as Advocacy and the Outreach Action Plan, and key messages of the Institute as they pertain to and support the association’s overall media relations strategies. This includes effective coordination of logistics associated with the awards programs, and serving as liaison with appropriate vendors to manage costs and deliverables.
Requirements:
· Bachelors Degree in journalism, communications or other relevant discipline.
· Minimum two years of experience in a global business environment, including service and/or marketing organization.
· Demonstrated success with advanced PowerPoint techniques.
· Ability to take high-quality pictures with digital camera as needed.
· Global expertise and experience preferred along with the capability to produce desired multi lingual and multicultural deliverables.
· Track record of results demonstrating successful organization change, upgraded image and brand, and/or expanding executive success as global spokespersons.
· Strong customer service orientation required.
· Successful track record of directing and monitoring vendors, including results which benefit the host organization
· Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills. Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent tasks to meet deliverables as well as routinely prioritize among major initiatives and operational tasks.
· Creative ability and promotional writing experience for public relations needs, with expert use of graphic and presentation software desired.
· Design, preparation, and documentation of work plans; ability to see the big picture and report progress accordingly
· Strong verbal and written communications skills, including public speaking and ad hoc presentations.
· Relationship management skills, including demonstrated ability to work with all levels of staff up to and including the Board level, global customers, volunteers, and external organizations from diverse cultures and locations with a track record of positive relationships.
· Self-initiated problem solving and decision-making.
