PURCHASING CLERK

We are seeking a career-minded, positive, energetic Purchasing Clerk to join our growing team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepares, reviews and tracks purchase orders through the purchasing process. Inputs all changes into the purchasing system, including inventory purchase orders, price changes and system updates. Prepares and files all purchasing related documentation. Prepares and completes reports as required. Consults catalogs and interviews suppliers to obtain prices and specifications.Computes total cost of items purchased.Confers with supplier concerning late deliveries. Adds and maintains item information, as required.Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company.Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements: Associate's Degree preferred 6 months to 1 year related experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Interested in advancement and a career path within the purchasing teamCandidate must be computer literate. Microsoft Office– Outlook, Excel and Word experience, some database knowledge
