POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for the development and implementation of Capital sourcing strategies for one or more categories or sub-categories across all operating companies in North America. Additionally, act as key contact for Nestle Prepared Food Corp (NPFC) capital procurement activities and manage Capital sourcing activities for all NPFC Capital activities above an agreed upon threshold amount. Builds and maintains strong working relationships with internal business partners and key suppliers for assigned categories. Tracks and manages compliance and focuses on cost savings value drivers.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:* In appropriate coordination with Operating Company Engineering/Technical stakeholders, execute purchasing activities from the development and implementation of the sourcing strategy to the management of agreements and vendors for selected categories or sub-categories, or specific Capital Projects within NPFC.a) Build a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model/supplier ranking matrix and bring other innovative tools to the Capital Purchasing process that drive commercial value to Nestlé.b) Works with NBS MRO purchasing team and NPFC Technical Purchasing resource to leverage Capital sourcing strategies to drive MRO cost reductions, where appropriate.c) Collect and analyze category data and develop the internal and external category profile.d) Provide commercial assessment of technically qualified suppliers.e) Work with customers (OpCo's) to gather and assess requirements on a timely basis to ensure adequate flexibility in the sourcing strategy.f) Develop fact-based negotiation strategies and lead negotiations with vendors.g) Conduct qualitative and quantitative vendor commercial analysis.h) In close coordination with appropriate Operating Company Engineering/Technical stakeholders, develop Request for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Quotes (RFQ), assess results, document recommendations and communicate results to vendors.* Manage vendor commercial relationships, track performance and communicate vendor performance feedbacka) Develop and maintain vendor agreements.b) Monitor compliance with vendor agreements.c) Work with Operational Buyers/Engineering/SME's (subject matter expert) and internal customers to ensure satisfaction. * Define and execute the implementation plan for the categories or Capital Projects.a) Identify transition activities, timeline, ownership, SME's, etc.b) Oversee implementation activities, assess and mitigate potential implementation risks.c) Reconcile potential strategic sourcing outcomes and action plans with business partners prior to executing the sourcing initiative, to eliminate executional barriers.* Travel=10% to 30% REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:* Bachelors Degree (Engineering preferred) or equivalent experienceEXPERIENCE:* 3+ years technical purchasing experience preferred. * Specific knowledge of manufacturing related equipment procurement preferred.* Demonstrated strategic buying capability. * Engineering or manufacturing experience strongly preferred. * Candidate must be a demonstrated quick study, proven ability to adapt to change, ability to work across boundaries and borders, strong decision making.* Excellent communicator. * Demonstrated skills in collaboration. * Effective skills in financial, market and vendor analysis. * Proven ability to define and create total cost of ownership models.* CPM certification a plus. * Category specific knowledge of one or more categories for which the job is accountable is desired.* Highly developed interpersonal skills, able to lead change.SKILLS:* Financial analysis---Total Cost of Ownership, Team leadership capability, Solid communications skillsCritical Competencies and Functional Knowledge:* Service Orientation* Results Focused* Innovation/Renovation* Purchasing Industry Knowledge* Negotiation Skills RESPOND HERE!
