The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or related field and have relevant experience in a software development environment. This position will be responsible for system testing activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle. This position will work closely with the QC Leader, Project Coordinator, Developers, Business Analysts and Business staff to assure a high level of quality in business systems through active project participation for test planning, test execution and problem resolution.Requirements: . 6+ years experience in a software development environment, which includes a minimum of 4 years in software testing PeopleSoft, GL, AP/AR experience is highly preferred . Experience in system test planning and execution against software requirements and specifications. Experience in technical design analysis: ability to understand, analyze and provide feedback on business requirements, software requirements, use cases, design specifications and other project related documents. Experience in creating and managing test environments and test data. Ability to estimate and scope work. Experience integrating QA testing methodology into the software development life cycle. Understanding of the web based environment: .Net, Java, Weblogic. Solid understanding of relational databases including test data creation with strong SQL query skills. Experience with defect management processes and tools. Experience using test management tools (e.g. HP/Mercury Quality Center). Experience with metrics for driving quantitative continuous process improvement efforts. Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiating skills. Ability to anticipate problems and risks and take corrective action when needed. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills on a technical and non-technical level. Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multi task. Ability to work independently as well as in a team. Ability to mentor other team members. Proficiency with MS Office SuiteAdditional Preferred Skills:. Experience testing ERP financial systems, preferably Oracle Financials . Experience testing Claims systems. Understanding of the mainframe environment . Experience with test automation scripting, execution and analysis . Experience using requirements management tools . Experience in conducting performance and load tests . Experience with a programming language . Experience with one or more improvement models (SEI CMM/CMMI, ITIL, TQM, Six Sigma, etc) .
