Job SummaryPerform and document testing of materials within the Polysaccharide Group for release/stability testing of commercial and development products, following established procedures and standard test methods in compliance with cGMP and safety regulations. Train new analysts and conduct laboratory investigations, equipment validation, reagent/standards/control qualification, and/or validation and transfer of assays as needed.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform and document testing of materials within the Polysaccharide Group for release/stability testing of commercial and development products, following established procedures and standard test methods in compliance with cGMP and safety regulations.Conduct laboratory investigations, equipment validation, reagent/standard/control qualification, and validation and transfer of assays as needed, train analysts. Tabulate performance parameters for assay standards, reference materials and controls.Assist supervisor in analyzing data and writing, revising, and seeking approval of laboratory investigation reports, SOPs, protocols, analytical reports, and monthly reports.Participate in GMP and technical training as outlined in training curriculum and satisfactorily complete training in a timely manner.Perform check on temperature charts, chemical and reagent expiration dates, etc. and document activities and results in equipment logbooks as assigned by supervisor in accordance with SOPs and in compliance with cGMP.Keep the laboratory orderly. Assist supervisor in assuring proper equipment maintenance, calibration, and validation. Perform additional laboratory tasks as assigned by supervisor.Perform routine activities related to work place safety as assigned by supervisor. Participate in safety training.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field. Training in biochemical and immunochemical assays, cGMP, lab safety, and FDA regulations.Experience in basic chemistry and biochemistry and use of personal computer is required. This experience comes from course work in these areas and previously held positions. One to two years of post-graduate professional experience is required for this position.Relocation is not available for this position.
