For more information on Alcon, Inc., visit the Company's web site at .General Description: -Carry out activities related to pharmaceutical characterization for active pharmaceutical ingredients and formulations-Independently perform general duties relevant to experimental studies. -Prepare samples of formulations/raw material for physical/chemical characterization and mobile phases for analytical method development/validation and special studies-Perform chemical and physical assays for experimental formulations and raw materials (HPLC, UV/Visible spectrophotometer, pH, osmolality, viscosity, particle size analysis using Microscope, Microtrac and visual inspection).-Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments as necessary.-Organize and compile experimental data in tabulated form using Microsoft word and Excel for technical reports. -Comply with all corporate and R&D policies such as record retention, and procedures related to safety, GLP, ISO and accountable for good housekeeping.Minimum Qualifications:High school eduacation and usually 6 years of laboratory experience in the scientific/technical discipline or Associates degree with 1-2 years of applicable laboratoy experience.Our generous benefits package includes the Alcon 401(k) Plan which matches employee contributions up to 5% of eligible pay at the rate of $1.00 for each dollar contributed, and the Alcon Retirement Plan (ARP), a qualified plan in which Alcon contributes 7% of eligible pay to the accounts of all eligible employees.
