•Location:    US-TX-Irving •Job Status:    Full Time, Employee•Job Category:    Customer Support/Client Care •Career Level::    Experienced (Non-Manager) RECONCILIATION CLERK II Job Description:Job Responsibilities: Reconcilement of tracers, or groupings of work, using the on-line reconcilement system. The employee must exceed the department average for production as defined by the monthly reports derived from the various check processing systems in the following categories; number of tracers reconciled, average tracer reconcilement time and number of adjustments. Processing of rejects on the Banctec reject repair system while exceeding the department average for items processed per hour. Reconcilement of all subsequent or rehandle passes. Knowledge to work at least three of the desks including the statistic desk, the fed desk, the transit desk, and the final proof desk; when applicable. Reconcilement of all sort types, making the proper entries using proper forms as needed for each type of work.. Verification of all tracers using the slow proof procedures. Location of department outages using the proper steps and procedures. Keypunching of general ledger entries into the falcon control system, which posts directly to the general ledger files. Must have knowledge of how to correct keypunch errors, delete batches, etc. Correction of rejects using the on-line reject re-entry system via CRT.Job Experience:BASIC QUALIFICATION:• High school diploma or equivalent.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:• 1 year check processing experience• 5 years in a production oriented environment.REQUIRED SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:• Thorough understanding of PC based word processing and spreadsheet software.• Understanding of PC/CRT applications.• Knowledge of American Bankers Association routing/transit codes.• Check processing operations.• Reconcilement procedures.• Accounting principles.REQUIRED SKILLS:• Good organizational skills.• Ability to effectively manage time.• Independent and self motivated.• Detail Oriented.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Excellent interpersonal skills.• Excellent customer service skills.• Good analytical skills.• Operation of 10 key calculator by touch.• Effective communicator.• Reconcilement skill.ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:• Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.• Ability to operate a keyboard if required to perform the essential job functions.• Ability to read and interpret a document.• Ability to work overtime without prior notice is routine.• Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department an undue hardship then the employee must be accommodated; hence, omitting lifting as a physical requirement.Hours: M-F, 5pm - until work is completeExpected Travel Time: None
