POSITION SUMMARYProvide recruiting and staffing services to assigned HR Regions including corporate store divisions, and assigned distribution centers within region, encompassing applicant sourcing, initial screening, pre and post-employment interviewing, testing, verification of references, and making recommendations for hiring and further action.II. KEY FUNCTIONS Source applicants for positions in distribution centers and corporate store divisions, ranging from entry level order selectors in distribution to members of store management in corporate retail. Responsible for utilizing all available candidate sources including colleges. Responsible for insuring candidate pool is diverse. Conduct preliminary screening of applicants with focus on direct recruiting efforts in order to determine eligibility for further consideration. This may include review of applications, resumes, initial phone screening, etc. Also responsible for updating web-based software (Recruitmax) daily and updating HR Easy hiring software weekly. Conduct in-person interviews for all levels of positions located within distribution centers and corporate stores/divisions. Coordinate all final interviews with Distribution Management or Retail Operations personnel in a timely manner. Administer appropriate company sanctioned pre-employment screening including drug testing, physical capacity testing, background checks, and verify references, as indicated or appropriate. Extend offers, complete offer letters of acceptance & coordinate information with Regional Training Specialists, Training Store Managers and Distribution Management. Update Division Organization Table weekly. Post & Manage internal job postings for identified positions at store and DC level. Recommend candidates for further consideration to hiring management in corporate retail and distribution departments, after completing all prior steps, as per company policy. Communicate with Training Store Managers & management trainees on a weekly basis to ensure training is running smoothly with new hires. May deliver employee benefits presentations annually to corporate stores & distribution centers, assist with focus group meetings and anti-harassment training & be present in employee investigations, as needed. III. REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. EDUCATION/TRAININGREQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree in H.R. or related field; related recruiting experience in lieu of degreePROFESSIONAL TRAINING: Seminars related to recruiting, training, and HR management2. EXPERIENCEREQUIRED: 3-5 years prior work experience, preferably in retail related recruiting2. TRAVELREQUIRED: Up to 50%. Must be available to travel outside of assigned Save A Lot region, as needed per request of Regional HR ManagerIV. ADDITIONAL SKILLS NEEDEDExcellent oral and written communication skills, ability to use Microsoft applications. Must be proficient with Internet Explorer in order to use Web-recruiting software & various internet job boards. Must be highly flexible and able to multi-task.
