JOB DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: 

 

Perform in-office and field research to produce reports for residential real property sufficient for achieving tax assessment valuations.  We will train you to measure, inspect and sketch residential properties. 

 

 

JOB SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

 

This job requires a self-motivated, articulate, organized individual who is detail oriented.  Other desired attributes include: 

 

·  ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

·  ability to read maps and locate property

·  knowledge of basic math principles (area, perimeter,)

·  tactful

·  strong listening skills

·  customer service attitude (courteous / patient)

·  personal discipline for organization and follow-up

·  strong time management

·  ability to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision

 

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

Previous real estate or tax background helpful, but not required. 

 

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

 Possession of a valid New Jersey driving license and daily use of personal vehicle

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

Position requires regular driving, standing, walking, bending (measuring) climbing stairs, talking to property owners and writing/sketching.
