They form the foundation of our SUPERVALU Advantage - the key to our continuing success.SUPERVALU is seeking an experienced real estate paralegal to join our Business Law group to support the real estate and store development (RE/SD) teams for the Eastern Retail Region of the Retail Division and the Supply Chain division. This position will include the following responsibilities: Assist attorneys in acquisition/disposition of leased and owned real estate including due diligence (title, survey, lease, corporate, etc.), closings, post-closing matters. Lease administration, including analyzing and reviewing lease documents in connection with store remodels, operating questions from RE/SD field personnel, processing estoppels and subordination agreements. Assist with corporate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions. Legal/financial/company research Work and interact with other SUPERVALU departments as necessary to accomplish required tasks.Candidates should have the following qualifications: 5+ years experience as a real estate paralegal, including experience in commercial real estate. A Bachelors’ Degree and a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved program. Proficiency in MS Office Applications. Experience working on a legal team. Strong verbal and writing communication skills. Excellent organizational and follow through skills.
