Recruiting Assistant

The incumbent is responsible for administrative and functional support for two New Jersey locations.  This individual will specifically support New Jersey Recruiting Managers and related client groups

 

Major Responsibilities

·  Assist the Recruiting Manager with the full life-cycle recruiting process. 

·  Participate in the development of job descriptions, oversee the posting of positions online both internally and externally, source resumes, screen candidates, qualify and interview potential candidates

·  Prepare offer letters, conduct background checks and ensure the timely and accurate processing of all new hire paperwork

·  Manage all administrative work for on-boarding such as new hire announcements, Status Forms, file maintenance and updating recruiting logs

·  Maintain recruiting database

·  Ensure a pipeline of candidates for summer Trainee positions

·  Produce written documentation for candidates including but not limited to, acknowledgement letters, no interest letters, referrals and unsolicited resumes

·  Provide administrative support as necessary including processing invoices, Fed Ex packages, copying and supply maintenance

·  Participate in projects and provide assistance to other areas of HR as needed

 

Required Skills/Knowledge

·  Knowledge of principles, best practices and standards of Human Resources.

·  Basic understanding of state and federal employment laws

·  Computer proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word and Excel)

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner

·  Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment

·  Exposure to recruiting software

·  Candidates should be flexible and possess the willingness to adapt to change

 



Experience Needed

·  2 – 3 years experience in a Human Resources recruiting support capacity or providing support in a Staffing / Recruiting firm. 

 

Educational Background Required

·  College degree required.  Human Resources or Psychology major preferred
