At Millennium, we're big on results, not formality.Position Summary:The Regional Account Manager will play a key commercial role in the support of our global Oncology Disease Business and future products business reporting to the Director, Managed Markets. Primary goals will be to support reimbursement access of VELCADE and future products in key physician accounts and to optimize new product introduction and uptake in the marketplace. The Regional Account Manager will develop strategic business relationships with Medicare, Medicaid Medical and Pharmacy Directors, Practitioners and key policy makers within the payor business segment. The mission of the Regional Account Manager is to work with National Accounts Managers, Regional Account Managers, Millennium Home Office and Field Sales to ensure end user access and understanding of reimbursement for VELCADE and future products through proactive relationships, education, extensive understanding of the payor environment, legislation/policies and internal/external teamwork. Additionally, the Regional Account Manager will be well versed and knowledgeable in Medicare reform polices encompassing Parts A, B, C, and Part D. The Regional Account Manager will have extensive understanding of the impact of these Medicare reform measures and how they impact Millennium, our customers and competitive products.Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and maintain proactive relationships within assigned accounts, including physician accounts, oncology societies, office manager societies, and CAC members. Individual will have responsibility for the regional Medicare Carriers, Medicaid and key physician accounts to ensure appropriate understanding and reimbursement of VELCADE and future products. Provide effective support for the Oncology Specialty sales force to assist with the access of VELCADE as it relates to reimbursement. Work closely with NAM/RAMs to pull through and communicate reimbursement policy changes to accounts and field sales.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:Minimum of five years experience in reimbursement/account management in the pharmaceutical industry.Additional qualifications: Individual must have a solid understanding of the payor sector. Ideally individual will have established key contacts at the regional and local level. Individual will need to demonstrate excellent analytical skills. Will need to exhibit superior communication (presentation and written) and teamwork skills to effectively contribute with several cross-functional teams. Must have experience in launching new products, experience establishing and maintaining required relationships. Candidate must have the ability to understand VELCADE approved indications and relate VELCADE clinical data to support opportunities within the payor accounts.Click here to immediately applyWant to learn more about us?
