Reverse Mortgage Underwriter

Banking institution in Palm Beach county is searching for a Reverse Mortgage Underwriter to underwrite conforming and non-conforming loans and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, company and secondary market guidelines. The Reverse Mortgage Underwriter will work under limited supervision and renders credit decisions by evaluating residential mortgage applications. 


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Examines overall loan documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Reviews LTV ratio, credit reports, applications Maintains high level of customer service. Ensures loan commitments are complete, accurate and in accordance with Bank Policy. Stays abreast of any changes in loan underwriting guidelines. Updates data in loan operating system.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

 

Minimum of five years underwriting required.

 

Must have knowledge of mortgage lending regulatory guidelines required. Good understanding of industry standard products and services. Computer skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required with knowledge of Mortgage Flex / Loan Quest a plus. Exceptional customer service skills.
