Solutions must be designed and implemented to meet specific objectives including cost, performance, operating efficiencies. Must be capable of multiplexing across multiple projects and initiatives. Must have knowledge of Storage Industry initiatives and Standards. Must have detailed knowledge on Storage Management Software, Hardware systems, Backup, and Disaster Recovery. Will work with Clients to understand their specific requirements and recommend and implement appropriate storage solutions. Must be confident and capable of interacting with multiple Technical and Client teams within ACS including Server Administrators. Provide assistance to Operations Support personnel in the use of software products and utilities. Engage with vendors, technical groups and organizations that are necessary to remain abreast of current technology and techniques. Responsible for:1) SAN deployments, including working with the fiber infrastructure, CISCO and McData switches, doing SDR, zoning, and volume logics. 2) Trouble shooting SAN issues from the Host Bus Adapter (HBA) to the storage and back including HBA, Blade, FA issues. 3) Analyzing performance issues from the HBA to the storage and back.4) Responsible for the monitoring, reporting and deployment of storage and backup-related products, services and systems, including Services Support, Client Support and Metrics.5) Administer Enterprise Tape Solutions.Education and Typical Years of Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of design and implementation of Storage Area Networks for Unix and NT environments. Years of experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.MUST HAVE strong SAN design and implementation experienceSpecial Requirements 1) Understands and has ‘hands on’ experience working with CISCO and McData switches hardware and software.2) Understands and can do zoning, SDR, volume logics3) Expert knowledge supporting EMC, IBM DS4500, IBM ESS 800, IBM SVC and SAN file system concepts. 3) Can work with IBM Total Productivity Center Software, Cisco SAN Management and McData Enterprise Fabric Manager. 4) Knowledge of UNIX, Windows, iSCSI, and Virtualization.5) Enterprise Tape Solutions such as IBM 3584, 3583, ADIC 2000I, VTL concepts6) Experience with Healthcare applications a major plus. Prefer a certification, vender or SNIA professional certification.
