SAP HR BW Analyst
Job Description:Responsible to deliver the BI work products such as: SAP data solutions, data mapping and design, data load procedures, conduct product reviews, work closely with the Business to ascertain requirements, creation of InfoCubes and Queries, etc. Define, plan and implement solutions on assigned moderately complex projects. Take business requirements and develop the total technical design on moderately complex projects. Apply thorough understanding of EAI, Database, Data Modeling in order to ensure proper usage of these methodologies as part of the design efforts in building a system to be put into production. Conduct appropriate test reviews for assigned projects and present to architecture review boards as necessary. Promote and follow the established processes, policies, standards and procedures to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies and standards. Provide technical direction to associate developers, developers and contractors. This individual must be able to work independently and also in a team environment effectively in a high-energy environment. Detailed Techno-Functional knowledge in SAP BI/ BW environment & experience in customization within SAP best practices boundary in the latest version of SAP. Experience in and extraction of SAP and non SAP data. Transport management within different SAP system Worked on complex Process Chains Clear understanding in core SAP cross functional area (FICO,HR) Conceptual background in new dimension products (EBP, B2B, SCM, SEM and CRM etc.) Sufficient knowledge in reporting/analytics: BEX, Netweaver, Crystal, Business Objects & MSTR Project management, troubleshooting and some background in hardware, OS & security SAP /ERP BW global support, system/application performance analysis & process reengineering Multi-industry BI/ BW background in software configuration in remote service delivery ERP BI/ BW evaluation, functionality analysis and benchmarking experience is a plus Background in working in BI/ BW with Fortune 500 companies with more than one industry Consulting background in BI/ BW with large clients Familiarity with global Data Warehousing operations of the US based companiesEducation & Professional Certifications:Bachelor’s Degree in related technical discipline and six years relevant experienceORMaster’s Degree in related technical discipline and four years relevant experienceOREleven years relevant experience without college degreeCandidate Profile:This position is best suited for someone possessing SAP BI Reporting experience (preferable NW2004s SAP BI ). At least five years working experience in SAP BI (BW) development environment Must possess a solid understanding of all facets of SAP BI including data acquisition, transformation, loading, data modeling, query definition, web application designer, report designer and performance tuning Experience in requirements gathering and interpretation in a business intelligence environment Experience in data integration methods from heterogeneous data sources, including legacy databases, employing data transformation standards and best practices ABAP and JavaScript skills preferred Must be self-motivated, have a strong team orientation, learn quickly and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. BI/BW Developers must have completed at least 3 BW projects with extensive experience in:Designing and developing standard and custom BW solutions, including extractors, info providers, data providers (ODS), info sources, info objects, and info packages. Extracting data from SAP R/3, SAP SRM, and external systems. Development of reports utilizing SAP Query Designer, Analyzer (BEx), Report Designer, and Web Application Designer. Designing and implementing performance tuning methods using Aggregates, Compression, Roll-up, and Query Performance. Note: BIA a plus. Troubleshooting update routines and user exits utilizing SAP ABAP programming. Ability to interact with business users, gather requirements, develop designs, and document functional and technical specifications based on the requirement and the design. Requires superior troubleshooting skills, strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work independently in fast-paced, changing, time-sensitive environment.
