RESEARCH ANALYTICAL SCIENTISTS

 

The incumbent will be expected to perform analytical responsibilities that support pharmaceutical process research and development projects including raw material analysis, analysis of process intermediates and final products, product characterization and final material release.  The analytical scientist will also be expected to develop, validate and optimize analytical methodologies and execute internal and external technology transfer processes.  All work performed will be expected to comply with applicable health, safety, environmental and cGMP/GLP requirements.  The analytical scientist will interact with project teams to ensure project timelines are met with an emphasis on quality and regulatory compliance.

 

Position Requirements:

BS, MS in analytical or pharmaceutical sciences or related discipline

3+ years experience in a pharmaceutical development environment.  Experience in a contract research organization would be a plus.

Strong knowledge of HPLC, LC/MS, GC and wet chemistry techniques

Experience working in a GMP/GLP environment

Strong verbal and written communication skills

 

 

SENIOR ANALYTICAL SCIENTIST

 

The Senior Analytical Scientist will be expected to perform research, analysis and experimentation on substances for such purposes as product and process development and application, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and the improvement of analytical methodologies. The incumbent will also maintain the laboratory and all documentation within GLP/cGMP guidelines. In addition, this individual performs complex activities and applies basic understanding of scientific data/ literature in areas related to Analytical Services. He/she is expected to present ideas for modifying existing procedures and suggest alternative methods for improving results and provide solutions to a variety of problems.  Responsibilities include: applying basic scientific principles and techniques to complete assigned complex experimental activities related to the endeavors of analytical development and receive limited supervision on specified tasks, develop and validate test methods, solve technical problems within the scope of the assignments, show ingenuity in resolving problems, serve as a mentor to analytical staff, perform routine and non-routine analysis on raw materials, drug substances, reference materials and drug products using a variety of instrumental and wet chemistry techniques. (including but not limited to- HPLC, GC, Karl Fischer, and MS)

 

Position Requirements:

MS or Ph.D in analytical or pharmaceutical sciences or related discipline

5+ years (MS) or 3+ years (Ph.D.) experience in a pharmaceutical or analytical drug development environment. 

Experience in a contract research organization would be a plus.

Strong knowledge of HPLC, LC/MS, GC and wet chemistry techniques

Experience working in a GMP/GLP environment

Strong verbal and written communication skills
