SURGEON'S ASSISTANTS Are you an experienced Surgeon's Assistant that desires an environment where your colleagues strive to earn their patients' trust? Akron General Medical Center is a 537-bed regional referral center and teaching hospital with a Level 1 Trauma Center. Our board-certified surgeons, specialty trained nurses, and assistants are both caring and professional. Akron General Medical Center offers surgical services for a range and complexity of needs, both inpatient and outpatient. We have the following openings: Surgeon's Assistant, General Surgery Surgeon's Assistant, Cardiac Surgery The Surgeon's Assistant will provide primary & secondary assistance to the surgeon during operative procedures. Successful candidates will have completed an accredited surgical assisting program and have operating room experience in either general or cardiac surgery OR, have at least 10 years surgical assisting experience. Must have exceptional dexterity, quick response time, & ability to comprehend & carry out detailed instructions. BLS certification also required.
